ŞENGAL, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
Yekitiya Jinên Ciwanên Ezîdî (Young Yazidi Women’s Union) saluted the resistance being carried out in Heftanin by PKK guerrillas, and condemned the attacks of the invading Turkish state. The young Yazidi women pointed out that the war in Heftanin is a war of honour, and announced their decision to join the mountains of freedom.
The press statement by the Yazidi young women is as follows:
“For more than 2 months, a great and historical resistance has been going on in the mountains of Heftanîn. The war waged in Heftanin is the war between two ideologies. The capitalist system today attacks the moral structure of society and democracy.
Hegemonic states such as America, the rapist Turkish state and its tail, the KDP, want to continue the occupation and colonization on Kurdistan.
For this reason, all hands of support are extended to the head of the gang, Erdogan, who is provided with all kinds of financial support. Despite this, the freedom guerrillas have been in the mountains of Kurdistan for months in a strong resistance against cutting-edge war technology. They are waging an altruistic and skilful war with the little they have and have become the worst nightmare of the Turkish soldiers in the area.
Just as in 2014, freedom fighters came to Shengal as the fighters of Leader Apo, they saved the people from what may have been the last genocide faced by our people. We, as Yazidi young women, are ready to join the Cenga Heftanin move. We will join the ranks of the resistance. As Yazidi young women, we take our place in the ranks of freedom. We are aware that the most valuable way for us to live is by joining the guerrilla ranks, and we state that taking part in the war of freedom is the most honourable act.
We call out to all Yazidi youth to join the resistance ranks. Just as HPG and YJA-STAR guerrillas shielded the Yazidi people as their own in 2014, we promise to protect the resistance of Cenga Heftanîn. Everywhere is Heftanîn, everywhere is resistance!
Long live the Battle of Heftanîn!
Long live the Guerrilla Resistance!
Long live Leader APO! “
